City Council Campaign Contributions
Pursuant to Assembly Bill 571, beginning January 1, 2021 a state campaign contribution limit will by default apply to City and County candidates when the City and County has not already enacted a contribution limit on such candidates. Please be advised that the City Council of the City of Calimesa has not enacted a contribution limit on City Council candidates and will therefore default to the state campaign contribution limit.
The contribution limit that will apply to City Council candidates is updated biennially for inflation. Contribution limits can be found in Regulation 18545(a)2 and on the Fair Political Practices Commission website. The default limit for contributions to City Council candidates subject to AB571 for 2021-2022 is set at $4,900 per election.
